How to participate (CSA)

certified organic vegetablesWe are welcoming families or individuals to join us this year. We will provide a box of fresh certified organic vegetables on a weekly basis starting around mid June till end of September. Amounts and types of produce will vary with the seasons. We aim to supply enough vegetables for a family of four. Rather than supply a half size portion for smaller families we encourage you to find someone to share a box with. This enables a smoother operation on the farm and nurtures community in the city.

Anticipated Vegetables: Everything from A to Z As the season permits

ImageApples, basil, beans, beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, cucumbers, corn, dill, eggplant, fennel, groundcherry, kale, kohlrabi, leeks, lettuce, melons, mint, onions, parsley, parsnip peas, peppers,  potatoes, pumpkins, radishes, rosemary, sage, spinach, squash, strawberries, swiss chard, tomatoes, turnips, watermelon, zucchini

Shared farming is about community. We enjoy knowing the people who appreciate wholesome, organic  food. Working together as producers and consumers allows all of us  to be part of the food production process, sharing in the bounty which the garden provides but also  in the risk we take working with mother nature. Sharing the risks enables us to continue growing good food for you. No matter what the garden provides, you will always receive your fair share of the harvest.

How do I share?

There are two prices for a share: City  pick-ups cost $400.00  and farm pick-ups cost $375.00. Payment can be made with cheque or cash.Image

There is always work to be done on a farm. We welcome anyone wishing to come out and help, but there is no obligation to do so. The greenhouse will be starting up in mid March so if anyone is eager to get their hands in the soil this would be a good opportunity. Please call or email before you come to make arrangements.

We are usually outside but we do check our messages.
